she’s so faithful and such a family person. no one can come in the way of her family, and that’s why she comes across as being so tough at the beginning with clary and simon. and she’s actually very, very generous with the people she loves and I grew really attached to her, and I think she’s a character that people can relate to. and she’s really funny as well, because she’s so tough and spontaneous and sometimes she just kind of says things without really thinking them through, and that gives her a really human side. -jemima west on isabelle lightwood

After reading City of Heavenly Fire, I went straight into writing. I tried to have at least ONE line for each character, but the chorus is dedicated to them all. You can decide which line is for who, if you want.
